Born in 1996 in Paris and currently studying painting at l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

 

 Through his practice of painting, video, music, and drawing, Axel plunges you into a world of hypnotic lights, vibrant colors and immersive atmosphere. He draws inspiration from psychedelic art from the 70s, Symbolist paintings of the 19th century, just as much as genre cinema of the 80s and 90s in order to question our relationship to the abundance of images on social media, and the social and para-social relationships that it creates.
